Wil Wheaton is a huge fan of “Game of Thrones” and a huge fan of the opening sequence, in which the viewers is transported across a 3-d animated map of the land of Westeros, seeing all of the different cities and locations where the show’s action takes place.

He acknowledged that it gave “a wonderful view of Westeros and it’s houses,” but it was seriously lacking in the character department. Now that he has his own show with “The Wil Wheaton Project,” the actor had the resources to take it upon himself to rectify this oversight.
There are a lot of complex character relationships on the hit HBO drama, and so Wheaton created a new opening sequence that explains who’s who, and what happened to them. It’s a little crass and dark, but then so is the show.

As inspiration, Wheaton fashioned his opening sequence after “The Brady Bunch,” modifying the classic sitcom’s just-as-classic opening song to tell a much more disturbing story of incest, castration, and beheading.
